Educational Awareness and Leadership
Funding and exposure are both uniquely important to the success and stability of any nonprofit organization. As an advocate for children's rights, Ms. Rowell uses her status as one of television and film's leading performers to bring a heightened awareness and understanding of foster care to a national audience.
Dedicating hundreds of hours to meet with state and federal officials her diligence has garnered RFCPP the recognition of numerous political factions. Supporters include former President Bill Clinton and former First Lady Hillary Rodham-Clinton, members of congress, state governors, over 30 public agencies and organizations, and the U.S. Conference of Mayors. Ms. Rowell also lobbies for and supports the Child Welfare League of America, Americans for the arts, the Children's defense fund, and the Department of Social Services in various states.
Always conducting speaking engagements throughout the nation, Ms. Rowell also continually searches to identify funding sources, including corporate and individual donors. Her appearances on television programs, news telecasts and the various public service announcements she takes part in aides in championing the cause of foster care.
